Jo-L began to sing at the early age of 4 at family parties. His love for the art of singing was awakened at an early age while watching the television performances of Tom Jones, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.

The cadence and the flavor of the musicality of these great singers and their interpretations and dancing were crucial in the development of Jo-L and in development of his music. His first professional opportunity took place during a musical tour, while opening shows for groups such as “New Kids on the Block”, “Brenda K. Starr”, ”Will to Power” and “Los Commodores”.

In the Latin market he had similar opportunities, opening shows for Domingo Quiñones, Millie Quesada, Frankie Negrón, and La India with his own group “Night and Day”. This afforded offered Jo L the opportunity to learn ample control of the stage and to become well known.

His professional quest took him to the exploration new artistic avenues, and to make possible his projects he opted for leaving the group and experimenting as soloist.

In his first production as a soloist with the title of “Rompiendo Reglas” Jo-L created his own musical line “Sal-Fuzión” which is a fusion of salsa, Reggaeton, R&B and HipHop.

With this production, Jo-L wishes to present a show that is both visual and musical, where the public will have the opportunity to see a show with choreography, dancers, clothes, D.J., light effects and a great orchestra.

In this manner Jo-L wishes to reach the young people who usually don’t listen to Latin music, to contribute to revaluate Latin music in other countries and in the United States .

The production equipment of this Project includes Luis Columna, Luisito Quintero and Guanko Gómez, the vocal producer for Marc Anthony and composer for Charlie Cruz, and Kevin Seballo, who wrote a piece for Jo-L titled “Te equivocaste”.

Jo-L worked with composer Manny Mercado writting the rest of the songs for his recording production, which promises to meet with its visual and musical objectives, using the fusion of different musical styles, and as a contribution to the revolution of the genre and to a promotion in the international market.
